“After a storm comes a calm”
-Matthew Henry
Yesterday we had some pretty crazy weather and so did many other folks on the east coast. Some areas received snow while we endured some crazy thunderstorms. At one point in the afternoon Nancy informed me that she was seeing quarter sized hail where she works.
When I left my office for the day there were rivers all over the place that shouldn’t have been there. It was also unseasonably cool. Anyway I love crazy weather like that…except for the hail. Here is an image from yesterday afternoon when the weather began to clear up.
On different note, the neighborhood Hawk was back this morning. I still can’t get close enough to take a decent photo. He sees everything but here is my best attempt from this morning.
Today was the third and final day of the quote challenge. I appreciate Tippy Tales challenging me and I propose that SATechs and The Nighthawk Project complete the same challenge.
Have a great weekend!

Love the pictures. The sky is always so interesting when fronts move through. Do you know what kind of hawk that is?

I believe it is a Red Shouldered Hawk. There are a few of them around but I hadn’t seen them since January. I am still working on my bird identification so I could be wrong.

Those birds are difficult to capture, never mind getting close. We have one big hawk in our woods and all you ever see is him gliding by. Once I had the honour of an overflight, roughly 2 mtr above me and it was only then, when I discovered how huge this bird actually is…
Thanks for nominating me for some challenge, now all you have to do is point me at the right direction and let me know, what I have to do…
Have a fantastic weekend

I have been trying to get a good photo for months but I just can’t get close enough without spooking them. I need one of those huge wildlife lenses lol. 300mm isn’t big enough. Sorry I didn’t explain the challenge better. All you have to do is post a quote for 3 days in a row. Or whenever your next three posts are. There are no other guidelines that I know of. Hope you have an excellent weekend.

Some investment for just the one shot… π
I decided to extend our stay here in Denmark for another couple of days since the weather is so nice… really enjoying it here, so peaceful and quiet.
have a good Saturday…

I know haha. Unless I strike it rich that won’t be happening anytime soon. The weather was beautiful here today. So beautiful my 4 mile run turned into 6.1 this morning.

doesn’t matter… not sure how fit you are – just take it easy… pushing itcan lead to injury and months of recovery. guess you’re old enough π

I wasn’t sure about the man or mouse comment haha. I am only 28. I used to be in top shape when I was in the military and then 6 miles would have been nothing. Past few years since getting out of the military I have been somewhat lazy haha. I certainly don’t want to injure myself. I am planning to run my first ever half marathon in September.

I will take a look at it. We are running a beach 8k in July and then I will be doing the hm in September and my younger brother might be joining me.
