Day 30: Puppies!

I will let the photos do most of the talking here. These 4 week old Golden Retriever puppies were at Asheville Green Cottage. As mentioned in a previous blog, Vicki and Neeraj have two goldens. Their 5 year old golden, Juni, had a litter of 9 at the beginning of May. We wanted to take one home so bad. Thanks to Vicki for letting us help socialize the little ones.

Happy Thanksgiving

Nancy, Oshie and I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. We hope everyone had a relaxing day spent around loved ones.

Good day! It has been a while since the last post and for that I apologize. So on to the topic of this post…. sleep and more specifically the positions dogs choose for their favorite pastime. As a human I have the luxury of laying on a comfortable Tempur-Pedic mattress. No matter what position I choose I am always comfortable. Oshie on the other hand sleeps on the floor. This is not because we make him but because he chooses to. He has had a dog bed ever since we brought him home but he has never slept on it. The most he will ever do is use it as a pillow for his head.

Oshie is a spoiled pup and we allow him on the furniture as long as he isn’t wet or muddy but for some reason when it comes to sleeping he prefers the floor. The strangest part about this is the positions that he ends up in. I look at him and wonder how he is comfortable but at the same time can’t help but laugh. His favorite strange position is lying on his back fully extended. He has done this since he was just a little fluff ball. Here are some pictures of him doing what he does best..sleeping.

And so it begins! This is the first post of hopefully many chronicling our lives with Oshie, our beautiful Golden Retriever. Honestly I never thought we would have a blog. I am not a prolific writer and generally don’t like to share my private life with strangers but having Oshie is so much fun. He does some truly hilarious things that we felt might bring a smile to your face. At the very least it is an excellent way to keep memories of our time with this wonderful pup so we can enjoy them forever and to connect with dog owners who are passionate about their pups.

To anyone that views this blog first let me say thank you and secondly please have patience as we begin to add content and decide how we want everything to look. If you have any questions, comments/feedback or tips please don’t hesitate to post them up. We are open to any and all tips and tricks as we begin our first blogging adventure.
