So I have decided that it is for me to take my blogging and photography a bit more seriously. I want to make my site the best I am capable of and that all starts with being pleasing to the eye. I could have the most interesting content in the world but with a terrible layout no one would want to see it.
This brings me to my poll and request for feedback from anyone that views/follows my blog. Please take a moment to let me know what you think and please don’t be afraid to comment. I promise I can take your criticism. I guarantee you I received much worse when I was in the Marine Corps. Thanks in advance! And here is a picture of Oshie just for good measure 🙂

I like it Jesse. Simple, but easy to read. If it were me, I might lighten the header photo a tad, but I’m an obsessive photo editor. Good luck with your blog.

I definitely want to do some messing around with the header photo. Originally I liked the layout of this theme but the more posts I add the more cluttered it looks. I don’t necessarily need my posts in a specific order but I just feel like they are all over the place and hard to focus on a single one.

I think the “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” rule is pretty universal. Your layout is clear, concise and makes it easy to focus on the content. Your cover photo doesn’t match the bright tone of your pup and your blog, but that’s a small point.

Thank you! I agree about the cover photo. The thing with the layout is that I feel it is a bit clutter and distracting the way the posts pop up all over the place but on the other hand I kind of like that at times too. Its different. And now we see why I needed to ask others. I can’t make up my own mind haha. Thanks again!

Thank you! Some of the feedback I received said the banner image was too dark for the colors of the blog. I agreed so I figured I’d give that photo a try. Wasn’t sure it was going to work.

One other thing you might think of changing is, instead of “Life with a Golden Retriever”, what do you think of “A Golden’s View”?

I agree with what was said above regarding “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” 😉 I feel it’s difficult to please everyone anyway, we all like so many different things! As long as the design matches your style I think you’re good 🙂 I’ve changed my blog’s theme a few times during the past 4 years, it evolves alongside my style. Thank you! I actually went through a few themes myself prior to settling on this one. I guess I just need to spend more time tweaking it until I feel it is perfect haha.
