Oshie At The Biltmore

I don’t believe I ever posted any of the photos of Oshie at the Biltmore House. He would have fit right in at the Estate with his little bow tie. I am sure he would have appreciated the high society living too.  This is the largest (or was) private home in the United States and has 250 rooms, 43 of which are bathrooms. One could easily get lost in there. It is still owned by descendants of George Vanderbilt and is open to the public year round. The setting is beautiful and Asheville is a fun location to explore and I would highly recommend checking it out.

Of course he couldn’t leave the fish alone.

Posing again at the bass pond waterfall.

The grounds were gorgeous and very dog friendly. If only the weather had been a bit nicer on this trip. It was hot and overcast for most of the day we spent at the Estate. There was even a little rain at one point. Hopefully we can make it back during cooler weather and do some more exploring with Oshie. There are so many excellent photo opportunities and the grounds are just pleasant to walk around.

Winter Garden

I was going through my Library in Lightroom and came across this photograph from our trip to the Biltmore Estate. Not the best composition but the detail of the ceiling in the winter garden was amazing. The winter garden was located right at the front of the house. You go in the massive front doors and it is off to the right separating the entrance to the house and the massive dining hall. I played around with the processing a bit and I like this one at the moment. I am sure at some point I will return to this image and want to change how it looks.

Beautiful wood and lighting. I wouldn’t relaxing in this garden during winter months.

Puppy Plunge Part 5…The End

When the puppy plunge event was over we took Oshie home, gave him a bath and settled into the living room to watch a movie. Oshie jumped up on the couch with us and couldn’t keep his eyes open.Video proof below. Excuse my stupid narrative, it is hard not to talk to a dog like they are a child. I do enjoy wearing Oshie out because he sleeps for the rest of the day which gives Nancy and I time to relax. Normally he would be pestering one of us every 30 minutes to go outside just so he could come back in ha-ha.

Puppy Plunge Part 4

If any of the individuals who attended the puppy plunge went into it thinking that they were not going to get wet…they were crazy. The images of Oshie below display what was happening all around the pool. The best part was when it would happen right behind someone who wasn’t expecting it (which honestly everyone should have been).
