Day 14: April Moon

I took this shot this morning when I took Oshie out to do his business. The sky wasn’t as dark as it appears in this image, but I like the way that this edit of the photo turned out. I was able to capture some good detail around the edges of the moon. I just wish I could zoom even closer.

Day 11: Eastern Tiger Swallowtail

Today’s image is of the commonly seen Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly. They are all over Eastern NC and many other places in the United States. Shot with my Canon 7dmkii and Tamron 70-300mm lens and processed in Adobe Lightroom.

Day 10: Oshie

Oshie was concentrating hard on Nancy as she was turning into the driveway. This is his go to stance and facial expression when he notices something but isn’t quite sure if he knows who or what it is. This was immediately followed by him sprinting over to the car so that he would be at her door as she opened it. Shot with my Canon 7d mkii and Tamron 70-300mm lens at 300mm.

Enter A Contest = Plant A Tree

I stumbled upon this on the interwebs today. The idea is if you enter this contest then the company sponsoring it will plant a tree in your honor on arbor day. You also have the chance of winning a bunch of cool camera gear and I love camera gear almost as much as I love a forest.

So as a disclaimer I have no idea if they will actually plant a tree in your honor if you enter but I want to believe that they will so I figured I would share this with my small group of followers. Maybe we can get a couple of trees planted for us maybe not ha-ha. Isn’t it the thought that counts?

Day 8: To The Beach!

Summer is just around the corner and we can’t wait to start going to the beach again. I honestly believe that this is Oshie’s favorite place to go. No matter how long we spend there he never runs out of energy and will run in and out of the waves all day. It isn’t until we get in the car that he crashes. After a day at the beach he is pretty much exhausted and ready for an afternoon and evening of relaxation and sleep. I can’t say I blame him!

Thankfully the waters warm quickly on the coast of North Carolina and we will soon be enjoying the sand between out toes.
