Flight Of The Oshie

Friday is finally here and if you are like me you couldn’t be more happy. It has been a long slow week and I am looking forward to the weekend. Thanks to the holiday on Monday (Presidents Day) it is a long one. I also get Tuesday off due to some electrical work being done to the building I work in. This video of Oshie below (with Wagner’s Flight Of The Valkyries as the soundtrack) shows how much he enjoys going for rides. The joy you see on his face is exactly the same feeling I have about this much needed long weekend.

The video on our YouTube channel has 700,000 views. I think it is safe to say that Oshie has gone semi-viral. He better not let this go to his head and start acting like some pompous celebrity. Besides, Nancy and I already treat him like royalty. How much more can he really expect?

Valentines Day Delivery

Oshie, Nancy and I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines day spent with the one (or ones) you love. Even if you are single we hope you had a great day!

Being the lover that he is, Oshie got in the spirit of the holiday and mouth delivered his card to mom as soon as she arrived home from work. He worked so hard on the card that he almost didn’t want to part ways with it. Eventually he remembered he is a gentleman and a Retriever and he swapped for Nancy’s lunch bag and carried it in for her. Enjoy the short clip of Oshie delivering his card.

North Carolina winters can be pretty wild. One day it will be in teens all day and threatening to snow and the next day it will feel like summer. Then there are the days where the temperature starts off as freezing and by the afternoon it is in the 60’s and 70’s. I love a mild winter as much as the next person but the huge swings in temperature from day to day (and even in the same day) are really annoying.

Enough complaining. Yesterday we saw temps in the high 70’s and low 80’s. The sun was shining and it was gorgeous outside. It almost felt like a summer day. So we decided to enjoy the weather and sit outside with Oshie. We even had some Watermelon to help complete the dreams of summer. I think Oshie knew that we were going to give him some because he was whining before we even had a chance to set the plate on the table and sit down. So you guessed it…here comes another video of Oshie. Below is a short video of Oshie scarfing down two pieces of Watermelon while wearing his goofy propeller hat. Prepare yourself for the cuteness.
