Life’s Golden!

Hello everyone!

Sorry for our being absent from the blog for so long. Our move to California last month has kept us very busy. We are happy to report that the move went very well. It was a long drive but it was fun and we are happy to be out here in Southern California!

We are still posting to YouTube as often as we can and I plan to start posting on here again more regularly.

Now the real reason for this post…we need you to buy Oshie’s Life’s Golden T-shirts. I am normally not the type of person to try to get people to buy things but trust me this is for a good cause and the shirts are pretty cute.

We are running a campaign on Bonfire for two weeks and will be donating proceeds from the sales to Hope For Paws Animal Rescue. If you haven’t checked them out you definitely should. They are amazing.

We have not notified them that we are running a campaign in their honor as we want to surprise them with (hopefully a big) check at the end of the campaign. Even if it is a small sum, we will feel good knowing we helped even just a little.

We are happy to be in a position where we can use our almost 24,000 strong YouTube fan base to hopefully do some real good for dogs and animals in need!

If you can’t buy a shirt, or don’t like the design or colors that is fine but we would ask that you please share the campaign on your social media. The more shirts we sell the more we money we can donate to the charity! Also feel free to donate on your own in lieu of buying a shirt!

LETS MAKE THIS CAMPAIGN VIRAL AND SAVE SOM DOGGOS!!!

“CALLING ALL FANS: New shirts are available for sale! Grab your limited edition shirt while you still can. Only available until *!

Health Report

Last Saturday we took Oshie in for one of his bi-annual checkups. We generally don’t have any concerns and have been fortunate to have such a healthy pup.

He went through the gamut of vaccinations and blood drawings and we also had a small bump under his skin checked (too small to cut off and test so we are keeping an eye on it). We also asked the vet about his panting which he seems to do often. She said it could be related to a thyroid issue and they could run a test for us.

Of course we had that done and we received good news. Everything is normal on the thyroid front and Oshie just gets excited and hot easily (he does have a thick coat lol).

So we left the Vets office with an almost clean bill of health, Oshie is up a few pounds from his last visit so we need to cut back on his food. He also got some pretty purple bandages where they drew blood ha ha ha!

Happy even with purple bracelets.

Catching Up

I have finally started to edit some of the photos taken during our trip to the Outer Banks last month. Life has been a bit busy lately thanks to our upcoming move to California.

Here are a few of the photos I have worked on.

This is probably my favorite so far. Clean and simple.  Taken around the same time as the first beach shot.

I hope to have so more up soon!

New Video Up On YouTube

We have another video up of Reagan and Oshie and will have another one coming soon! Enjoy!

Golden Retriever Fact Of The Week #6

Hello friends! We hope you are all having an excellent week and we are glad to have to back for some more Golden Retriever facts! The facts this week are not related to the breed itself, rather they are about a few Goldens who have exceptional skills!

Fact #1

On the 20th of October 2012 a Golden Retriever by the name of Charlie set the Guinness World Record for the worlds loudest bark by a dog! Charlie lives in Adelaide Australia with his mum Belinda Freebairn and set a world record bark of 113.1 dB during a Purina bark in the park event! According to the Guinness Website, Charlie still owns this record. See video of Charlie below!

Fact #2

There is another Golden Retriever that holds a Guinness World Record and he goes by the name Augie. The Miller family from Dallas Texas owns Augie and in July of 2003 he set the world record for the most regulation sized Tennis balls held in the mouth by a dog at one time with 5! Again according to the Guinness website Augie still holds this record. Impressive to say the least!

Very impressive. Oshie has trouble with only one.

Well that is all I have for this week! Check back next week for more Golden Retriever facts!
