Dogs are just so awesome. I recently read an article, albeit and old one but new to me, about two Golden Retrievers who took care of their owner for two days when she fell. Judy at the time was 76 and had two Goldens ages 10 and 4. She lives with Parkinson’s disease and other than her pups to keep her company she lived alone.
Well apparently one day she had a fall in the kitchen and did some pretty serious damage to herself and was unable to get any help. Her loyal pups laid right by her side keeping her warm and making sure she wasn’t alone until help arrived two days later. Now that is some loyalty and serious love. Anyway here is a link to the full article in case you wanted to read it and watch the video.
Cheers!
Step 1: Go get yourself a handsome Golden Retriever who listens well.
Step 2: Practice until he is so annoyed with you that he will no longer look at the camera even when you bribe with treats and use all your tricks.
Step 3: Repeat
As anyone who reads the blog knows, I use Oshie quite often to practice photography. I think he is getting pretty sick of it ha-ha. Anyway here are a few shots from the other day. I am trying to get better with using my flash and lighting in general. Also really trying hard to get the color of his eyes to show. Enjoy!
Oh and photography people…tips and critiques welcome.

Just wanted to get something posted this week to keep myself from slacking off. I don’t really know how to walk on air but Oshie might ha-ha. Here are 2 quick shots of him attempting to walk upside-down in the air. It is possible that he was trying to roll over but it is more fun to believe he was trying to air walk!

Well thanks for stopping by. I will try to get another post or two done this week that have a bit more to them ha-ha.
I don’t know what it is about water coming from a faucet but apparently it is better than water in a bowl. I believe I have mentioned in the past that Oshie likes to be hand fed water from the shower or bathtub faucets. If it is time for a shower he will always follow you in and look up at you with his big brown eyes waiting for a drink.
He does the same thing outside. If I turn on one of the external faucets he is there in an instant lapping it up. The funniest thing is you could put his bowl of water right there next to the faucet and turn it off. He won’t touch the water in the bowl. Turn the faucet back on and he will drink like he has wandered the Sahara for weeks.
Here is a series of shots of him drinking from one of the outdoor faucets yesterday after we ran around the yard for a bit. Silly dog…
