Oshie's World

Life Through A Golden Eye

It’s All In The Eyes.

The other night I was sitting on the couch being fat and eating Gelato right out of the tub  (if you can call it that). Ever the foodie Oshie decided to investigate. It started off with him sitting in front of me on the floor intently watching as I shoveled each bite into my mouth.

Fast forward a few minutes and he was laying on my lap putting on his best act. He was doing sad puppy eyes and staring at my treat. He is so expressive with his eyes it is amazing. He may not be able to talk but you can pretty much always tell what he is thinking or what his mood is by looking at his eyes.

I didn’t give in because there was chocolate in the Gelato, had it been vanilla I would have had a hard time not  giving him a treat. He sure knows how to work us over to get what he wants.

Experimenting with Monochrome And My Favorite Subject

Today I decided to experiment with Monochrome. As someone who is new to photography I have been trying anything and everything and not worrying so much about how the shots come out. As always I shot my favorite subject…Oshie. These photos were first shot in color and I used the tool that comes with Canon EOS cameras to do a little editing after. One of these days I will get my hands on  a software that provides me with a lot more options for post production editing. The first photo is to show what I started with (although I think I had already messed with it a little). Enjoy.

Oshie always looks so happy!

What a difference a header makes!

Michelle Weber's avatarWordPress.com News

Our websites are our online homes. It makes sense that we want to give them personality and warmth, just like we do with our physical homes.

One of the simplest updates with the biggest impact is a custom header, a completely free feature that’s available to the majority of themes on WordPress.com. A header instantly sets your blog apart — and with free online photo and graphic editing tools, a custom look is accessible to any blogger, no graphic design experience needed.

Take a look at the world of possibilities with these ten blogs:

Text, taken up a notch

A custom header doesn’t require a beautiful photo or exquisite drawing skills. Fonts have personality; just ask the bloggers and writers behind Don’t think just eat, Ellie and Ace, andThe Lovecraft eZineElegant, quirky, eerie — fonts can communicate all that, and more.

Strange Faces 2

The next installment of strange faces. Not sure what Oshie is doing with his tongue here but it is definitely strange.

Dirty Mouth

Oshie loves to eat grass. Fortunately he is not a digger. I am thankful that we don’t have holes all over the yard and in comparison eating grass is not a big deal. The downsides to Oshie’s addiction to grass are that he tends to get a little to rambunctious and tears out tremendous chunks of sod. This creates ransom dirt spots in  yard that already has plenty of brown spots from his killer pee. Here he appears to be having a good laugh after he has terrorized the lawn.
