Fetch! Oshie had a blast chasing the tennis balls. Many of the retrieval attempts ended in fear face and panicked paddling. He still hasn’t learned to keep himself level in the water so he points up and his front legs flail and splash the surface. The result is way too much energy wasted trying to get to the safety of dry land. He will figure it out eventually. He just needs to raise his butt and use his back legs more.
Today is supposed to be back up in the 90s. We can’t wait until the temperatures get cool and stay that way. Oshie is ready with his Quicksilver sun hat.
He also participated in a puppy plunge at the outdoor pool on base. He had a blast and is exhausted. It is apparent that he needs swimming lessons. He doesn’t use his back legs very well which leads to him tipping way back instead of staying level. He will learn eventually. Pictures of the puppy plunge to come soon.
This photo was taken during winter and I ran across it today in my Lightroom library. I had done a little post processing but I don’t remember if I ever shared it on the blog. I really like this shot so I decided to finish the processing and here is the final (for now) result. We definitely picked out one handsome Golden Retriever.
Oshie having a blast rolling around in the sand. He loves doing this and it looks hilarious. Unfortunately this means that there will be sand falling out of his coat for a few days, even after a long bath outside. He loves doing it though and we just can’t say no to him (even if we did he would still do it).
