World Lion Day

In honor of World Lion Day here are the two Lions from the Los Angeles zoo. I only had one shot of the female lion as she was laying in difficult spot to photograph. I wish they had been a little more active but it was a hot day so I can’t say I blame them. Sometimes you just have to take the shots you are presented with and be happy.

Los Angeles Zoo

Two more shots from the trip to the Los Angeles Zoo. This is the same Tiger I posted last week with a more vibrant edit. The Gorilla was an adult male Silverback and he was massive.

I have a ton of photos from the zoo and the trip to California in general that I will be posting to the Random Photography page as I work through them.

Raptors

An African Crowned Eagle and Steller’s Sea Eagle from the Los Angeles Zoo. Not the best shots as they were taken through fences and I wasn’t sure if I was allowed to use a flash. This was the firs time I had seen an eagle in person. I knew they were big but I was still surprised at just how large they really are.

Ruff Housing

Oshie has taken a liking to his new cousin. They enjoy wrestling while Boston does his own thing in the background. In one of the photos you can see how much loose puppy skin Hershey has. While we were in Los Angeles on vacation Oshie got to spend the week with Hershey and Boston. When we got home he slept for next day and a half. It is safe to assume that they wore him out.
